The first Inace Explora 90 makes its debut at the Rio Boat Show

Brazilian shipyard Inace has launched its first 27.4 meter Explora 90, christened Waikikiat the Rio boat show.

Designed by Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design with naval architecture by Hydro Tec, the Inace Explora 90 is the first model in a line of rugged exploration yachts designed for long-range exploration.

With a premium plumb bow and active stabilizers, Waikiki offers a range of 3,000 nautical miles at ten knots and the ability to navigate high latitude regions.

At 230 GT, the Explora 90 packs a punch when it comes to living space. There is approximately 400 square meters of usable space on board, with features such as a beach club, upper deck lounge and sundeck with Jacuzzi, bar and BBQ.

Meanwhile, accommodation is split between an owner’s suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck.

“We had a crazy 2021 at Inace by finishing Waikiki.” Said Flavio Constantino, sales director at Inace. “To bring Waikiki at the Rio Boat Show 2022 was another odyssey that she conquered with all the glories.

“From Fortaleza [in northeast Brazil] in Rio is a 1,600 nautical mile voyage in the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean […] where he had the opportunity to brave all kinds of weather conditions and prove his Inace DNA: six days cruising at 12 knots, burning 65 liters per engine without a single burnt out bulb. We are so proud.

Commissioned by a Brazilian owner, Waikiki features a calm and cool interior “almost the same as the beach house they have on a Brazilian island,” Constantino said. “But if you pay close attention you will see careful and precise carpentry as well as excellent flooring and Brazilian marble slabs.”

The second hull of the same model should hit the water in eight months. Waiting, Waikiki could make its U.S. debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
