Ocean Alexander to Launch 28 Explorer at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show

Ocean Alexander is set to launch its brand new Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in Australia this week.

The 27.74 Explorer is an evolution of the 27E and will be present at the yacht show after causing a stir earlier this year. The Explorer range, which was first unveiled at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, builds on the shipyard’s Revolution series offering large volume and capacity for carrying toys and tenders.

The first Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer features a five-cabin layout with a master suite on the main deck, four cabins on the lower level and a triple crew cabin aft. Other high-end features of her 163GT include a penthouse-inspired skylounge with a bar, barbecue and hot tub on the aft deck, as well as a spacious saloon with a dedicated lounge and formal dining area in below.

An oversized bathing platform comes into its own once the tenders are launched and transforms into a sunbathing area and water sports center with a folding starboard bulwark.

The Taiwanese automaker partnered with longtime collaborator Evan K Marshall for the exterior and interior design of the Explorer line.

“These remarkable yachts expand outdoor space for socializing and entertaining family and friends, and are designed to bring a wealth of toys with you to maximize exploration opportunities on long voyages to exotic locales,” said the shipyard.
