Tribes of Midgard: how to get a boat

Midgard Tribes kicks off its first foray into the seafaring side of Viking legend, introducing all kinds of sea-related additions with the latest update. From swimming, boats, new enemies, and an all-new Saga Boss, you’ll definitely have plenty to expect when you venture into the new Open Seas biome. Since you can’t realistically swim to the islands featured in the latest update, you’ll need a boat for yourself and your potential crew. If you’re unsure of how to do this (or how to place it), we’re here to help. Here’s how you can get a ship and explore the major marine biome in Midgard Tribes!

How to get a boat in the Midgard tribes

Tribes of Midgard Season 2: Serpent Saga Sailing

To embark on a boat Midgard Tribes, you have to build a shipyard. We’ve got a how-to guide on everything you need to know about this, but to give the short version you’ll need to find an Ash Beach buildable building. There’s only one on the map, so keep checking nearby beaches until you find one. From there, enter the necessary supplies and your shipyard will be built. Go to its menu and you will come across three different boat choices. These have slight stat boosts, but are mostly selected for the number of players you have with you. If you’re leading this expedition solo, you’ll want to create the first Small Raft. If you have 2-4 players (including yourself), you’ll want the second option. Nothing more than that, and the last boat option will be the one to choose from.

Once you’ve used up the supplies needed to craft your boat, head to the body of water you want to deploy your boat to and open your Build menu. From there, scroll down to your boat and place it in the water. You can then climb in and control its speed (over several sail lengths) and direction. Just make sure to avoid the enemies, or you’ll literally be dead in the water. Anyway, now you know how to get a boat in Midgard Tribes!
