Men’s basketball inks transfer JaMir Price for 2022-23 season

CLEVELAND- Cleveland State men’s basketball coach Daniyal Robinson added another talented student-athlete to the squad with the addition of transfer JaMir Price to the Vikings’ roster for the 2022-23 season. The announcement was made official on Wednesday.

Price played 31 games, all starts, for Mineral Area College of the NJCAA last season. The Rock Island, Illinois native averaged 13.9 points, 3.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds and posted shooting percentages of 53.3 from the field and 43.8 from beyond. ‘bow.

Its Mineral Area College program also just won an NJCAA Region 16 regular season championship.

“JaMir Price is a top-notch young man who will add much-needed experience to our core guard,” Robinson said. “JaMir is an all-round guard and a proven winner. Price finished the 2021-22 campaign in the top 10 in the NJCAA Region 16 in assists (fourth with 115), points (sixth with 431), field goal percentage (seventh), steals (eighth with 42) and free throw percentage (eighth at 74.8 percent).

The newest Viking, who weighs 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds, will play guard at CSU.
